Canvassers are the heart of our voter contact operation. You’ll knock on doors, speak directly with constituents, and share Jarrett’s vision for Hawaiʻi. Canvassers also listen to concerns, record voter feedback, and build the one-on-one relationships that win campaigns.

Every volunteer will also take part in phone and text banking. This is how we reach thousands of voters directly – making calls and sending texts to share campaign updates, answer questions, and encourage voter turnout. These conversations are vital to educating and mobilizing supporters.

Neighborhood Captains are the local leaders of our volunteer network. They coordinate efforts across their communities, serve as the main point of contact for volunteers, and keep the energy high at the neighborhood level. Captains help assign roles, track progress, and motivate their teams to hit campaign goals.

The Care Team serves our community in a direct, hands-on way. They respond quickly to neighborhood needs – like helping kupuna, mowing lawns, or flagging small fixes a municipality can resolve. They also handle campaign sign delivery and upkeep, making sure Jarrett’s message is seen across our neighborhoods.

The Provisions Team takes care of our volunteers. From preparing lunches to setting up on canvassing days, they make sure everyone has food, water, and support. Their mission: to keep morale high and volunteers energized.

The Digital & Social Crew keeps our online presence sharp and responsive. Working with the Communications Team, they’ll monitor news, amplify campaign messages on social media, and ensure we’re part of the digital conversation. Quick posts, shares, and engagement online help us reach thousands more voters every day.

Our Communications Team volunteers support the campaign by assisting with PR, publicity, and content development to strengthen our external communication strategies. They also help with general communication and administrative tasks, ensuring our message is clear, consistent, and effectively shared with the community.

The Events Team helps our campaign shine in the public eye. They’ll staff tables, hand out flyers, display signage and wave during peak traffic, and assist with setup and breakdown at community gatherings. They also work with Communications on publicity, photography, videography, and keeping our events visible across media and social platforms.

Our General Volunteers are the backbone of the campaign – flexible, versatile, and ready to jump in wherever help is needed. Whether it’s supporting canvassers, assisting with events, pitching in on communications, or providing a helping hand with day-to-day tasks, these volunteers keep the campaign moving forward. Their willingness to adapt and engage across different areas makes them an essential part of the team.
